Biological cognition is not stored. It is reactivated.
Memories live as distributed latent structures. Recall is inference over those traces, not playback of a file. The word is the node. The cluster is the engram.
High-valence moments become micro-LoRAs and calcium-cache co-activations, each carrying a snapshot of the 19-chemical neurochemical state at encoding.
When adenosine builds up, consolidation begins. The top-ranked traces — scored by Q = σ((OXY−CORT)/τ), calcium, BDNF — merge into base state. The rest prune.
